Golf Cart Policy

Street-legal golf carts are allowed in our school’s drop-off and pick-up line, provided they meet all local and state road-use requirements. To ensure student safety and compliance with school policy, please review the following requirements for street-legal golf carts:

A Golf Cart Is Considered Street Legal If:
  • It is registered with the State and displays a license plate.
  • It is insured (check with your provider for coverage).
  • It includes the following safety features:
    • Headlights and taillights
    • Turn signals
    • Rearview mirrors
    • Brake lights
    • Windshield
    • Seatbelts
    • Horn
Driver Requirements:
  • The driver must hold a valid driver’s license.
  • All traffic rules and school procedures must be followed.
  • The golf cart must remain on paved routes and never be driven on the sidewalks or grass.

Passenger Safety:
  • All passengers must be safely seated at all times.
  • No standing, hanging off, or riding in laps is permitted while in motion.
  • Only the number of passengers a golf cart is designed for may ride.

Our goal is to maintain a safe and efficient arrival and dismissal process for all students. Thank you for your cooperation and attention to these safety guidelines.

If you have questions about whether your vehicle qualifies as street legal, please contact your local Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV).
